Announcing our new Priest-in-Charge,
Rev. Donna Lockhart

We are pleased to announce that The Reverend (Pastor) Donna Lockhart will join ECI as our Priest in Charge! Pastor Donna will start on Monday, June 16, 2025 and give her first service on Sunday, June 22, 2025.  

Pastor Donna served as Curate and Transitional Priest in Charge at All Saints Pontiac between March 2024 and March 2025. Previously, she served as Associate Priest at Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton, Pennsylvania. Her preparation for the ministry between 2017 and 2022 includes preaching, providing pastoral care, creating both children’s and multigenerational programming, being engaged in social action activities, and community engagement at St. Patrick’s Episcopal, St. Michael’s Episcopal, St. David’s Episcopal, and the Church of the Messiah.

Pastor Lockhart has lived and worked in SE Michigan and is a native Michigander. Now widowed, she is the proud mother of two married, adult sons: Evan (Brittany) and Andrew (Grace).  She has a sister in the Ann Arbor area and is familiar with some of the area’s existing resources and needs. Pastor Donna enjoyed a long and successful career in corporate America as a marketing and sales manager and trainer. She resigned in November 2019 to live fully into answering God’s call to the priesthood.  She considers herself to be “a wounded healer” and is trained in working effectively with persons who have had substance misuse issues, LGBTQ+ individuals, and families, and is a Reiki Master. 

Pastor Donna is in the process of completing her D.Min. with a concentration in Spiritual Direction from the Haden Institute and the Graduate Theological Seminary.  In 2023, Pastor Lockhart completed the Anglican Social Justice Program, EDS, at Union Seminary. She received her M.Div. from the Bexley Seabury Seminary in 2022. During her time in Seminary, she also completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education and is a certified Chaplain.  Pastor Lockhart holds a Master of Jurisprudence in Employment and Labor Law from Tulane University (2018) and a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in Marketing from Walsh College (1998). 

The search committee and the Vestry are excited to welcome Pastor Donna! Please join us for brunch on Saturday, June 21, to get to know Pastor Donna before her first service on Sunday, June 22!
