Sunday Services & What to Expect
We Welcome You To Worship With Us!
Our Sunday morning worship service is hybrid –– some people attend in person and some participate simultaneously via Zoom. Service starts at 10:30am.
If you’d like to participate via Zoom from home, please email Pastor Dean Aponte-Safe for that link at pr.dsafe@gmail.com. If coming in person, please enter through the double door off back of the parking lot. Our chapel, social hall, and restrooms are accessible.
What to Expect During Sunday Service
Sunday morning worship begins at 10:30am and lasts until about noon. Service is followed by a social hour, where we enjoy food and conversation.
Children’s Ministries:
Children at Incarnation are invited to join Sunday morning youth programming, which takes place during the worship service in our youth room each Sunday morning, beginning at 10:30am. Programming ranges from a youth reflection time at the beginning of service, to arts and crafts, stories, and other activities appropriate to children's development and questions. Our children's ministry seeks to be a space where all know that they belong, and is welcoming and affirming of our children's experiences and wonders. For more information, please contact Pastor Dean Aponte-Safe at pr.dsafe@gmail.com.
Other Expectations for the Service:
You'll experience many of the same elements that are common in other Episcopal churches, including call-and-response readings, the Book of Common Prayer, and readings from Scripture. Some of the prayers we use are ancient, but others reflect a God who is always drawing us toward new ways of experiencing joy, tenderness, and wonder. However, the goal is always the same-–not to conform to some idea of what you “should” believe, do, or feel, but to connect with your deepest self and participate with the wider family who follow in the Way of Jesus or walk in the way of love. Everyone is welcome at God’s table, and you are welcome at ours.
Our Communion is also inclusive, with a choice wine or grape juice and gluten-free bread.
Below are some of the values we dedicate ourselves to:
Affirm and welcome children.
Use inclusive language.
Inspire with culturally diverse music.
Invite lay leadership and encourage laypeople to preach or share their stories.
Strive to help you discover the unique service that you have to offer the world.
Masking Policy:
Masking is optional. However, people with colds or experiencing any respiratory symptoms are expected to wear a mask, in order to help ensure the health and safety of all in attendance.
